SAIC is looking for a Database Engineer to support the Electronic Warfare Data Systems (EWDS) program for the Airborne Electronic Attack Integrated Product Team (AEA IPT) located at NAWC Point Mugu, California.

What You’ll Do:

As a Database Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring data integrity, automating processes, and modernizing legacy systems. You’ll:

  • Leverage SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), Visual Studio, and Azure DevOps daily.
  • Write complex, dynamic SQL queries for sophisticated relational databases.
  • Design, develop, test, and debug advanced software applications.
  • Create backups, restore data, and implement solutions to prevent data loss.
  • Develop stored procedures to streamline manual processes for the team.
  • Modernize technical debt by developing innovative database solutions for outdated processes.

Qualifications

  • A relevant bachelor’s degree and five (5) years or more of experience; additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
  • SQL experience is required.
  • Experience with C# and C++ programming languages.
  • Working knowledge of Visual Basic and Microsoft Access.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with Agile project management principles (e.g., sprints and user stories).
  • A basic understanding of Electronic Warfare (EW) and Airborne Electronic Attack (AEA) missions is preferred but not required.

Clearance Requirement:

  • Active Interim Secret security clearance is required to begin work.

Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
