Job description

As an AI Engineer , you will make an impact by designing and delivering AI-powered automation solutions that transform procurement and procure-to-pay (P2P) processes. You will be a valued member of a cross-functional AI and Automation team and work collaboratively with solution architects, cloud engineers, procurement domain experts, and client stakeholders to build intelligent, production-ready AI agents on AWS.

In this role, you will:

  • Design, develop, and deploy AI agent solutions that automate procurement workflows, including intake processing, supplier evaluation, and document analysis.

  • Build and orchestrate LLM-driven workflows using Amazon Bedrock, AWS Step Functions, and related AWS-native services.

  • Integrate AI solutions with enterprise platforms such as SAP S/4HANA and procurement applications using APIs and event-driven architectures.

  • Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines supporting structured and unstructured procurement data across AWS services.

  • Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to optimize agent behavior, prompt engineering strategies, performance, governance, and compliance requirements.

Work model

We strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a remote position open to qualified applicants in the United States. Limited travel may be required based on project needs. Regardless of your working arrangement, we are here to support a healthy work-life balance through our various wellbeing programs.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of software engineering, AI engineering, or machine learning experience, including hands-on experience developing AI agent or LLM-based solutions.

  • Strong Python programming skills and experience with frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar agentic AI frameworks.

  • Experience with AWS services including Amazon Bedrock, AWS Lambda, Amazon S3, API Gateway, Step Functions, and SageMaker.

  • Knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, enterprise integration patterns, and cloud-native application development.

  • Experience building, deploying, or supporting NLP and LLM-powered applications in production environments.

  • Understanding of prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and AI agent tool orchestration techniques.

  • Ability to deliver high-quality solutions in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

These will help you stand out

  • Experience supporting procurement, supply chain, accounts payable, or finance transformation initiatives.

  • Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, Ivalua, or other enterprise procurement platforms.

  • Experience implementing RAG solutions using Amazon Kendra, OpenSearch, or similar technologies.

  • AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Machine Learning Specialty or AWS Certified Developer.

  • Experience working in startup, innovation, or forward-deployed engineering environments.

  • Exposure to financial operations, reconciliation, treasury, or order management processes.

We’re excited to meet people who share our mission and can make an impact in a variety of ways. Don’t hesitate to apply, even if you only meet the minimum requirements listed. Think about your transferable experiences and unique skills that make you stand out as someone who can bring new and exciting things to this role.
