Job description

Oracle Health Infrastructure and Platform Services is looking for Engineers with experience in building cloud-native, AI-assisted platforms and systems. This role is suited for a hands-on engineer with strong operational experience, sound judgment in regulated environments, and the ability to turn manual operational work into safe, repeatable runbooks.

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and operate modern, cloud-native, AI-first platform services
  • Partner with SREs, release managers, security/compliance owners, backend/database teams, and support escalation teams to drive safe operational outcomes.
  • Define configuration and implementation best practices
  • Specify, design, and implement changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.
  • Provide technical leadership to other software developers.
  • Work across teams to engineer the best system (for operations and customers) regardless of organizational boundaries or ownership.
  • Scale our systems by building tooling and automation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in engineering, application development or related field or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated ability to write code in Java or similar OO languages
  • Experience building automated and AI-first solutions
  • Proficient with data structures, algorithms, operating systems.
  • Experience with distributed systems: familiarity with CAP theorem, Consensus, messaging, High Availability etc.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Experience operating production systems with change management, incident management, runbooks, approvals, audit/evidence, and security controls.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills during incidents, maintenance windows, and cross-team handoffs., * Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Experience working in a large cloud or Internet software company.
  • Windows/Citrix experience
  • Experience in building out new cloud products, specifically security and network related.
  • Experience collaborating with software development teams, data scientists, business and other technical roles.
  • Experience with Windows and Linux
  • Experience building operational runbooks, automation workflows, or diagnostics for large enterprise application estates.

Benefits & conditions

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $89,200 to $209,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
