Solutions Architect (Cloud)

We are seeking a Solutions Architect to lead the design and evolution of modern cloud-based applications and platforms. This role will define architecture standards, drive cloud modernization initiatives, and partner with engineering teams to deliver secure, scalable, and highly available technology solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve scalable, cloud-native application and platform architectures.
• Establish architecture standards, best practices, and reusable platform capabilities.
• Lead cloud modernization initiatives, including application migration and platform transformation.
• Design resilient, observable systems using monitoring, automated scaling, disaster recovery, and high availability principles.
• Partner with engineering teams to implement Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud automation.
• Define cloud security, identity, networking, encryption, and governance standards.
• Design API, integration, and event-driven architecture patterns.
• Support modern data platform initiatives, including data lakes, data warehouses, streaming, and ETL/ELT solutions.
• Provide technical leadership, architectural guidance, and mentorship across engineering teams.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to architecture and engineering practices.

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, infrastructure, DevOps, or cloud technologies.
• 3+ years of experience in solution or cloud architecture.
• Strong expertise with AWS and/or Azure cloud services.
• Experience designing distributed, cloud-native applications using containers, microservices, and serverless technologies.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, ARM/Bicep, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
• Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking, security, identity management, and governance.
• Experience with API design, event-driven architectures, and modern integration patterns.
• Familiarity with modern data platforms, including Databricks, data lakes, data warehouses, and streaming technologies.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams., * Experience with platform engineering or internal developer platforms.
• Knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles.
• Experience with hybrid or multi-cloud environments.
• Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) are a plus. Technology Doesn’t Change the World, People Do.®
