Job description

ICON is looking for an entrepreneurial Senior AI Data Engineer I to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the data infrastructure that powers our data-driven products and services. You will work with our AI engineers, data labelers and external data providers to create large, high quality data sets., * Design workflows, tools and services for managing large datasets.

  • Develop and maintain large, high quality datasets.
  • Find new sources of data
  • Build infrastructure to support data labeling, data review and machine learning.
  • Design and implement robust data pipelines to ingest, transform, and load data from a variety of sources.
  • Build scalable data storage and processing solutions
  • Develop efficient algorithms and data models to help curate data and maintain high quality, Furthermore, as a federal government contractor, the Company maintains an affirmative action program which furthers its commitment and complies with recordkeeping and reporting requirements under certain federal civil rights laws and regulations, including Executive Order 11246, Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (as amended) and the Vietnam Era Veterans’ Readjustment Assistance Act of 1974 (as amended).

Requirements

  • 8+ years of software development experience.
  • 6+ years of experience managing data.
  • Proficient in Python and cloud data services.
  • Hands-on experience with data storage technologies.
  • Degree in Computer Science, related technical field or similar experience.
  • Strong problem solving skills and ability to work independently

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience partnering with external organizations
  • Experience building lanrge machine learning datasets.
  • AWS Cloud development kit experience.
  • Modern CI/CD workflows: GitHub, Jenkins, Travis, etc.
