Job description

  • Kick off by sequencing orders by line/cell to match the frozen plan, ATP, and capacity.
  • Confirm materials (MRP stock, open POs, transfers) and green-light only fully kitted orders unless an approved partial is required.
  • Execute clean SAP (PP/MM) transactions-confirmations, backflushing, goods issues/receipts-and keep WIP accurate.
  • Walk the floor to unblock issues with Purchasing, Warehouse, Supervisors, Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance.
  • Track schedule adherence, takt attainment, and planned changeovers; escalate shortages and downtime with data., * SAP & Master Data Discipline: Convert and stage production/process orders; verify routings, work centers, standard times, and scrap factors; trigger master-data corrections when needed; monitor MRP exceptions and align with planning on reschedules, expedites, and shortages.
  • Order Financials: Reconcile material/labor/overhead variances; partner with Finance on root cause and corrective actions.
  • BOM Governance & Change Control: Pre-release BOM audits (components, alternates, substitutions), validate effectivity and ECO/ECN incorporation, ensure revisions match across BOMs, routings, and documents; lead periodic cycle checks and investigate yield loss/scrap trends.
  • Materials & Inventory Coordination: Drive complete kits, resolve discrepancies, and maintain accurate backflush and lot/batch tracking; support cycle counts and analyze inventory adjustments.
  • Quality & Compliance: Ensure orders carry the correct inspection plans and sampling; administer the upstream query process for timely closure; enforce documentation standards (batch records, travelers, labels, serialization/traceability); support internal/external audits and regulatory compliance.
  • Performance & CI: Publish daily/weekly KPIs (OTIF, adherence, WIP, yield, scrap, rework hours, labor efficiency, lead time); lead/coach kaizen and A3 problem solving; create standardized work and visual controls for order flow, kitting, and deviation management.

Team, scope, and impact

This position reports to the Planning and Logistics Manager and partners closely with the full Supply Chain organization. You will also collaborate on cross-functional and regional initiatives.

Requirements

  • Experience: 3-5 years in manufacturing planning/control or shop-floor scheduling with strong SAP PP/MM (or equivalent ERP) proficiency.
  • Technical fluency: Production orders, BOMs, routings, work centers, MRP, and inventory transactions; understanding of capacity planning, takt time, standard work, and OEE basics; familiarity with quality systems and document control.
  • Tools: Advanced Excel (pivot tables, lookups) and basic data analysis; exposure to Power BI or similar is a plus.
  • Working style: Ownership and rigor with master data, cross-functional communication skills, structured root-cause methods (5-Why, fishbone), smart prioritization, and process discipline with a CI mindset., * Bachelor’s in Supply Chain, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or related field; or equivalent experience.
  • Background in automotive, aerospace, medical device, chemicals, or electronics manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of APS/finite scheduling, kanban and pull systems, and S&OP.
  • Certifications such as CPIM/CSCP, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
