Job description

Senior individual-contributor data scientist partnering with Product, Operations, Finance and executives to run advanced analytics, design experiments, build predictive models and dashboards, develop ETL/ELT pipelines, and translate insights into business recommendations to improve customer experience, operational efficiency, and performance., We’re looking for an experienced Senior Data Scientist to join our growing Data & Analytics team, reporting to the SVP, Data & Analytics. This is a highly cross-functional role that combines advanced analytics, experimentation, business intelligence, and data science to drive better decisions across Product Operations, and the broader business. The ideal candidate enjoys moving fluidly between strategic analyses, building executive dashboards, designing experiments, developing predictive models, and partnering directly with business stakeholders to solve complex problems. You’ll work closely with Product Managers, Operations leaders, Engineers, and executives to transform data into actionable insights that improve customer experience, operational efficiency, and business performance. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both deep analytical work and hands-on execution. This is a Senior level Individual Contributor role and is fully remote anywhere in the USA., Business Analytics & Decision Support

  • Partner with Product, Operations, Finance, and other business teams to answer high-impact business questions using data.
  • Translate ambiguous business problems into structured analytical approaches and actionable recommendations.
  • Develop KPIs, metrics, and performance measurement frameworks.
  • Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership in a clear, compelling manner.
  • Serve as a trusted analytical advisor to cross-functional stakeholders.

Product Analytics & Experimentation

  • Design, execute, and analyze A/B tests and other experiments.
  • Evaluate product features using statistical techniques and causal inference.
  • Identify opportunities to improve customer engagement, conversion, retention, and operational efficiency.
  • Build measurement frameworks for new products and initiatives.

Data Science & Predictive Analytics

  • Develop predictive models, forecasting solutions, segmentation models, and optimization algorithms where appropriate.
  • Apply statistical and machine learning techniques to solve business problems.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to deploy analytical solutions into production when needed.
  • Evaluate model performance and communicate trade-offs to business stakeholders.

Business Intelligence & Data Engineering

  • Write complex SQL queries against large-scale datasets.
  • Design, build, and maintain executive dashboards, reports, and self-service analytics.
  • Develop reliable ETL/ELT pipelines that support reporting and analytical workflows.
  • Improve data quality, documentation, and metric consistency across the organization.
  • Help establish best practices for analytics engineering and reporting.

Requirements

  • BS,in Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Operations Research, or a related quantitative discipline. MS or PhD HIGHLY Preferred
  • 6+ years of experience in Data Science, Product Analytics, Business Analytics, or a related analytical role.
  • Advanced SQL skills with experience querying large, complex datasets.
  • Strong Python programming skills.
  • Deep understanding of statistics, hypothesis testing, and experimental design.
  • Experience building dashboards and reports using modern BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Sigma, etc.).
  • Experience designing and maintaining ETL/ELT workflows.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain analytical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage ambiguous, cross-functional projects., * Experience supporting Product and Operations organizations.
  • Experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or Databricks.
  • Familiarity with dbt or modern analytics engineering practices.
  • Experience with machine learning, forecasting, optimization, or recommendation systems.
  • Experience productionizing machine learning models.
  • Familiarity with Spark and distributed computing.
  • Experience mentoring junior analysts or data scientists.

Benefits & conditions

Base Salary Range: $154k - $195k This position may also be eligible for short-term and long-term incentives based on individual and company performance.

Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This information is provided per CA SB 1162 (“CA Pay Transparency Law”). Base pay information is based on market location. Learn more about ecoATM benefits here.
