Job description

We are seeking an experienced SAP UI5 Developer to join our team for a contract opportunity supporting SAP S/4HANA initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in developing custom SAP UI5 applications using JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS, with hands-on experience working in an SAP S/4HANA environment.

This is a highly technical, hands-on development role where the consultant will work independently to transform high-level functional requirements into scalable, production-ready solutions., * Design, develop, and deploy custom SAP UI5 applications using JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, and SAP UI5.

  • Build solutions within an SAP S/4HANA environment, focusing on custom application development rather than standard Fiori configuration.
  • Collaborate with functional and technical teams to analyze business requirements and develop technical solutions.
  • Develop and maintain modularized ABAP code, enhancements, and custom objects as needed.
  • Consume and integrate OData services, Gateway Services, and CDS Views into UI5 applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application defects identified during development, testing, and production support.
  • Follow established development standards, coding best practices, and change management processes.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision while delivering high-quality solutions within project timelines.
  • Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and solution design sessions.

Requirements

  • Strong experience developing custom SAP UI5 applications.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and SAP UI5.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA.
  • Experience using SAP Business Application Studio (BAS).
  • Working knowledge of ABAP, including modularized programming and custom enhancements.
  • Experience with SAP Gateway Services, OData Services, and CDS Views.
  • Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), MVC architecture, and data modeling concepts.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced project environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SAP Fiori Elements.
  • Familiarity with Git and version control best practices.
  • Knowledge of modern SAP S/4HANA development standards and coding syntax.
  • Experience extending and integrating new SAP solutions with existing custom applications.
