Job description
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Database Administrator to join our innovative team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing complex database systems to ensure high performance, data integrity, and security. Your expertise will support our data-driven initiatives by managing relational and non-relational databases across cloud and on-premises environments. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies, improve system uptime through advanced tuning, and contribute to scalable system architecture that empowers our organization’s growth., * Design, develop, and maintain robust database architectures using relational databases such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, and DynamoDB.
- Implement and manage cloud infrastructure for database deployment, ensuring seamless integration with cloud development tools and services.
- Perform performance tuning and optimization of databases to enhance system uptime and responsiveness through advanced query management and indexing strategies.
- Develop and maintain stored procedures, scripts (Bash/Unix shell/Python), and ETL processes using tools like SSIS and Talend to facilitate efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading.
- Conduct data model design and requirements specification to support new system development projects while ensuring data integrity and security standards are met.
- Manage data recovery processes, backup strategies, and disaster recovery plans to safeguard critical information assets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on system design for system development projects, infrastructure architecture design, and requirements analysis to ensure scalable solutions.
- Monitor database health using data analytics tools; troubleshoot issues proactively; implement improvements for system performance and reliability.
Requirements
Required
- 10+ years of database experience
- 8+ years of experience with Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, or similar relational databases
- 8+ years of Relational Database Administration experience (SQL Server or Oracle preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in database design, analysis, and performance tuning
- 8+ years of experience with database structures, data analysis, and performance tuning
- 8+ years of experience designing enterprise applications and/or services
- 8+ years of experience creating technical and functional design documentation
- 8+ years of experience within the Software Development Life Cycle using Agile methodologies (Scrum preferred)
- 8+ years of experience with multi-tier system/application development (SOA, Microservices, 3-Tier applications, etc.)
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology
