Job description

  • Jama Connect Operations: Deploy, configure, maintain, and scale Jama Connect infrastructure in AWS GovCloud, ensuring high availability, performance, and security compliance (ITAR/EAR).
  • Infrastructure as Code: Design and implement CDK stacks for application infrastructure including compute (EC2/ECS), databases (RDS/Aurora), networking (VPC, PrivateLink, NLB), and storage.
  • Automation & Integration: Build automation for user provisioning, access management, backups, patching, and monitoring. Develop integrations between Jama and other Kuiper tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, TestRail).
  • Security & Compliance: Implement and maintain security controls compliant with ITAR and export control regulations. Manage access through least-privilege models.
  • Monitoring & Incident Response: Build dashboards, alarms, and runbooks. Participate in on-call rotation to ensure service reliability.
  • Tool Evaluation & Adoption: Evaluate, pilot, and onboard new productivity tools to support Kuiper’s engineering workflows. Drive user training and adoption.

A day in the life

In this role, you will function as both an Jama/productivity tools DevOps Engineer. You will operate various collaboration tools stacks in AWS GovCloud, develop automation for upgrades/patching/testing, and enhance observability of the systems. You will work with stakeholders and senior engineers to design and develop custom solutions and integrations between the productivity tools and other services in a secure manner.

Requirements

  • Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure
  • Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust
  • Experience with Linux/Unix
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes, * Experience with Jama Connect or similar requirements management tools.
  • Experience operating in AWS GovCloud or other regulated environments (ITAR, FedRAMP).
  • Experience with Atlassian suite administration (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo).
  • Experience with container orchestration (ECS, EKS, Docker).
  • Experience with database administration (PostgreSQL, Aurora).

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. You will build and operate infrastructure in AWS GovCloud to support Leo’s systems engineering, requirements management, and test management workflows at scale.
