Your Role and Impact: As a Data Center Operations Engineer, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of our state-of-the-art data center facilities. Your expertise will be vital in maintaining 100% uptime for critical systems, including electrical and mechanical infrastructure such as UPS, MV electrical systems, generators, and cooling systems. You will be the go-to expert for analyzing and resolving system issues, ensuring a safe and efficient workplace., Maintain, monitor, and perform preventive maintenance on all building systems, including HVAC, chillers, plumbing, and electrical backup systems.
- Analyze system operations to swiftly identify and resolve any malfunctions.
- Manage incidents and events to protect critical systems, utilizing your deep understanding of the data center environment.
- Efficiently handle work orders, CMMS, vendor management, and customer-facing tickets.
- Comply with emergency escalation procedures and contribute to additional projects as needed.
Requirements
2+ years of experience in a data center or critical facility environment.
- Proficiency in managing building systems, particularly UPS systems, emergency generators, and switchgear.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Google Suite, and CMMS.
- Preferred experience with Corrigo software, Universal EPA 608 certification, and NFPA70E training.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to walk extensively in large, campus-like settings.
- Capacity to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Skill in climbing stairs, navigating rooftops, and using ladders up to 30 ft.
- Flexibility to work various schedules, including holidays and emergencies.
