Job description

As an IT Project Manager, you know the complexities of supporting a project from concept to completion. Many programs require a significant investment of limited resources, and it’s imperative to keep the project on a productive path. What You’ll Work On:

  • Plan, lead, and manage personnel responsible for the organization’s portfolio of projects and maintain efficiency of important project management aspects such as planning, scheduling, and budget and risk assessment.
  • Develop and execute project objectives by collaborating with the customer on needs and goals, project proposals, project plans, and intermediate execution status.
  • Determine project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements, assigning personnel to phases and elements, and reviewing bids from contractors.
  • Determine project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards, completing technical studies, and preparing cost estimates.
  • Con firm product performance by designing and conducting tests.
  • Determine and maintain project schedule by studying project plan and specifications, calculating time requirements, sequencing project elements, and maintaining project schedule.
  • Control project plans by reviewing designs, specifications, schedule changes, and recommending actions.
  • Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends, and recommending actions.
  • Be responsible for technical or operational leadership of a project or mission within the programmatic guidelines set by the program manager and customer.
  • Define, generate, and review project requirements documentation and perform technical studies to refine project requirements.
  • Monitor projects to ensure work scope, schedule, and budget are well defined and maintained.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in project management
  • 3+ years of experience as an IT project manager
  • Experience using Micro sof t Office
  • Knowledge of project management principals as outlined in the Project Management Body of Knowledge ( PMBOK )
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to work nights or weekends on an as needed basis
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • HS diploma or GED
  • Ability to obtain a DoW 8140 Work Role Code 802 - Intermediate level Certification within 3 months of hire date

  • Ability to use Micro sof t VISIO and Micro sof t Project sof tware
  • PMI Project Management Professional ( PMP ) Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
