Job description

This senior engineer will build and modernize high-volume, business-critical Java backend applications, with an emphasis on designing scalable REST APIs, implementing complex business logic, and supporting cloud-based enterprise systems. Responsibilities include developing Spring Boot services, working with AWS (and Azure), modernizing legacy applications, supporting production releases, documenting designs, participating in architecture and code reviews, and helping re-platform large enterprise applications.

Requirements

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of enterprise Java development experience with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, AWS, and backend application development. They should have experience building scalable transactional systems, working with cloud-native architectures, debugging and modernizing legacy platforms, and mentoring other developers. Experience with financial services, Agile/Scrum, high-volume enterprise applications, and mainframe modernization is highly valued. Knowledge of .NET APIs is a plus. Must Have:

  • Java, Spring Boot
  • AWS
