Job description
Nightwing is supporting a U.S. Government customer on a large mission critical development and sustainment program to sustain and operate a network operations environment, including introducing new cyber capabilities to address emerging threats. Cyber Offense and Defense Experts (CODEX) is seeking a skilled Full Stack Developer with expertise in AWS Cloud development, stage and production environments. This role involves contributing to the design, development, and deployment of advanced cybersecurity capabilities to support CISA’s mission today and into the future.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to :
Infrastructure Engineering:

Design, test, and implement advanced cybersecurity software capabilities as a key contributor within Agile Scrum teams.

Support risk assessments and recommend risk mitigation strategies as required.
Full Stack Development:
-
Develop automated unit tests and debug thoroughly to ensure reliable, high-quality code.
-
Collaborate on Deployment, DevOps, and CI/CD processes to optimize pipelines and streamline workflows.
-
Establish and interpret monitoring systems for CI/CD processes to ensure operational effectiveness.
Requirements

U.S. Citizenship is required

Must have an active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain DHS suitability

Must be able to obtain a TS/SCI Clearance

8+ years of software development experience required
-
Minimum 2+ years of Agile full stack infrastructure engineering experience with a focus on production AWS environments.
Desired Skills:
-
Experience with Amazon CloudWatch, Amazon Elastic Block Storage, Amazon EC2 Image Builder, Amazon Elastic Cloud Registry, Amazon Elastic Container Service, Amazon Event Bridge, AWS Config, AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM), and AWS Secrets Manager.

Proven ability as a Full Stack Developer with experience in Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

Automated remediation expertise for security vulnerabilities.

Familiarity with:

CISA Guidance:

Securing the Software Supply Chain.

Open-Source Software Security.

General Cybersecurity Best Practices.

NIST Frameworks:

NIST SP 800-218 - Secure Software Development Framework.

Technical Expertise:

Knowledge of automated solutions using Ansible.
Desired Certifications:

Cloud Certification: AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner.

Cybersecurity Certifications: DoD 8570.1 IAT Level II or CSSLP.
Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline is required. [Ten (10) years of experience (for a total of eighteen (18) or more years) may be substituted for a degree.]
