Cloud Operations Engineer

The Cloud Operations Engineer at Knight Federal Solutions Inc will be responsible for managing and optimizing cloud infrastructure to ensure seamless operations and security. This role requires a TS SCI Clearance and involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance system performance and reliability., Design, implement, and maintain cloud-based infrastructure solutions to support business operations.

• Monitor cloud systems to ensure optimal performance and availability.
• Collaborate with IT and security teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to cloud operations.
• Implement automation strategies to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
• Provide technical guidance and support to internal teams and stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to cloud operations and procedures.
• Stay updated with the latest cloud technologies and trends to drive innovation within the organization.

Required Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Required Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in cloud operations or a similar role.
• Proven experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience in managing and automating cloud infrastructure using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Demonstrated experience in monitoring and optimizing cloud performance and costs.
• Experience in implementing and managing security measures in cloud environments., TS SCI Clearance.
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture and services.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex cloud issues.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with other departments.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
