Top Secret Infrastructure Engineer (Virtualization, Storage & Backup)

Insight Global is seeking a Top Secret Infrastructure Engineer to support a government program in Dahlgren, VA. This individual needs an active Top Secret clearance and IAT Level II certification. They must also have 3-5 years’ experience with managing and maintaining Rubrik enterprise backups, virtualization, and storage platforms (NetApp, VAST, or similar), and hands-on experience with VMware and vSphere (build, admin, support). This position is also responsible for the full lifecycle of infrastructure systems, including architecture, deployment, maintenance, and performance tuning. The engineer will also ensure compliance with DoD security standards and accreditation requirements. The pay for this role ranges from $55-$57/hour, based on experience.

*Active Top Secret clearance

*IAT Level II certification (Security+ or equivalent)

*3-5 years’ experience with enterprise storage platforms (NetApp, VAST, or similar), and hands-on experience with VMware and vSphere (build, admin, support)

*Experience managing Rubrik enterprise backup

*Strong understanding of SAN/storage concepts (LUNs, snapshots, zoning)

*Ability to design, deploy, and maintain enterprise infrastructure systems end-to-end

*Experience creating technical documentation (SOPs, system designs, test plans)

*Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in complex environments

*Ability to work cross-functionally to resolve infrastructure issues and support operations *Experience with Splunk or similar monitoring/logging tools

*Scripting experience (PowerShell, Python, etc.)
