Job description

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) team at a time of real evolution. You’ll play a key role in developing and enhancing our CTI capability, helping to build an enterprise intelligence function across the bank and supporting a truly threat-informed approach to security operations. You’ll work at the heart of our Security Operations function, turning complex threat data into clear, actionable intelligence that helps keep our customers, colleagues and services safe. With a mix of project work and BAU activity, you’ll see the visible impact of what you do - from shaping how we defend against emerging threats to influencing the way we test and improve our controls. You’ll bring previous experience in tactical or operational CTI roles and be familiar with enterprise-level threat intelligence platforms, using them to drive meaningful action across security operations and strengthen our overall security posture. If you’re ambitious, enjoy working with others and want to help drive the evolution of our threat intelligence capability, this could be a great next step. What will your day look like?

  • Monitor the cyber threat landscape, identifying new and emerging threats that could impact Aldermore Group and our customers.
  • Collect, analyse and interpret threat data from multiple internal and external sources.
  • Produce intelligence products across tactical, operational and strategic levels.
  • Track relevant adversary groups using frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK.
  • Maintain and develop a CTI reference library.
  • Work closely with colleagues and third-party providers.
  • Support threat-intelligence-driven security testing, including red and purple teaming.

Requirements

  • A genuine interest in cyber security and threat intelligence.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience creating and delivering actionable threat intelligence products.
  • Ability to analyse multiple sources of data and create timely, accurate insights.
  • Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK, DeTT&CT, D3FEND and the Cyber Kill Chain®.
  • Curiosity to research new and emerging threat actors.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills.

Benefits & conditions

What can you expect from us?

  • A hybrid working policy, 2 days per week onsite in one of our offices
  • A friendly and flexible culture
  • A growing organisation with opportunities to progress
  • A drive for continuous improvement
  • Competitive rewards, core benefits and bonus potential

About the company

We’re Aldermore - the award-winning bank, trusted by over a quarter of a million customers for more than a decade. With specialist mortgages, savings accounts and business finance solutions, we’re backing more people to go for it. Still curious? Join us and we’ll make the same promises to you as a colleague as we do to each of our customers. We’re committed to a working environment that values respect, diversity and compassion. Please note that we have a thorough referencing process, including criminal record checks. We champion equality by supporting the exceptions to the rule and getting finance to where it’s needed. We lend the money people save with us, to people who want to get on in life; build businesses and create employment, buy property for people to live and work in, and purchase vehicles to move families and goods around.
