Job description
Electric Boat Information Technology (EB IT) is responsible for Electric Boat’s enterprise and special-use information systems, such as product design environments, collaboration platforms, and office productivity suites. EB IT supports over 20,000 end-users in a wide variety of work environments, networks and locations. Electric Boat Information Technology is pursuing an Infrastructure Support Analyst to support a multi-year strategy to modernize the company’s IT infrastructure within a robust cybersecurity environment., Candidates can expect to perform project oversight activities as well as system administration work. Candidates will have opportunities to work with Windows, RedHat Linux as well as various cloud IaaS teams. Candidates will need to be familiar with Microsoft products, various COTS licensing platforms, Active Directory and Cybersecurity and RMF controls. A successful candidate will work with a joint team of EB IT, Cybersecurity, and Customer Support Center personnel to implement, monitor, and improve Electric Boat’s IT systems., An EB IT Infrastructure Support Analyst will apply IT knowledge and expertise in a demanding fast-paced construction environment, including but not limited to the following areas:
- Ability to translate CMMC, NIST 800-171 and Risk Management Framework (RMF) security to actionable items
- Linux Red Hat, ESX, VMWARE administration
- Installing, configuring and hardening new software and hardware
- Support a wide variety of IT infrastructure projects and operations activities
- Support security audits and vulnerability assessments
- Vulnerability remediation SME for Linux, ESX and VMWare
- Detailed Understanding and practical experience using DCSA mandated Eval-STIG/ STIG Viewer
- Monitoring server health, performance and making recommendations for improvements
- Responding to end user and management inquiries and resolving technical issues associated with special purpose systems
- Development of Group Policies
- SCCM software packaging, imaging and patch deployment
- Power shell script development
- Independent work assignments
Requirements
Required:
- Associates degree or higher in a related IT field
- Comp TIA A+, Microsoft MCP certification
- 2+ years’ experience supporting DoD or DoD contractor Classified IT systems
- 14+ years’ practical experience of VMWare Product deployment and management
- 14+ years practical ESX Cluster management
- 14+ years of practical experience building, managing and troubleshooting RedHat Linux environments
- Current (Active) DoD Secret Security
Preferred:
- Experience with Electric Boat’s Classified change management process
- Experience with Service Now IT Services platform
- 20+ years IT experience, * Group Policy development
- Power shell script development
- Experience with bare metal and in place Linux, ESX and VMWare installations / upgrades
- Software packaging, imaging and patch deployment using Microsoft Configuration Manager (SCCM)
- Understanding and experience working within DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) regulations
- Understanding of Tenable vulnerability scanning and Qradar log collection
- Effective communication
- Adaptability in fast-paced environment
- Ability to present to executive stakeholders
