Job description
At Allium, we help organizations move beyond point-to-point fixes when their systems stop talking to each other-most commonly when Salesforce is out of sync with ERP, orders are manually re-keyed, inventory data lags, or new Salesforce enhancements create yet another integration headache. As a MuleSoft Solution Architect, you will specialize in designing robust, API-led integration solutions that put Salesforce at the center of the enterprise ecosystem. You’ll work with clients to evaluate whether MuleSoft Anypoint Platform is the right approach or if simplification, another platform, or a lighter strategy makes more sense. Your expertise will ensure Salesforce becomes a truly connected hub that drives accurate data flow, operational efficiency, and better business outcomes.Key Responsibilities
- Lead discovery workshops with business and IT stakeholders to identify Salesforce integration pain points (e.g., with ERP, SAP, Oracle, legacy systems, custom databases, or third-party applications).
- Design and architect API-led connectivity solutions using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, with strong emphasis on seamless Salesforce integration patterns (Salesforce APIs, Platform Events, Change Data Capture, Apex, and external services).
- Build reusable assets including System APIs for core systems, Process APIs for business logic, and Experience APIs that surface data to Salesforce (and other front-end channels).
- Translate Salesforce-specific business requirements-such as real-time order sync, inventory visibility, quote-to-cash, customer 360, or service cloud integrations-into scalable, governed integration architectures.
- Provide honest recommendations on when MuleSoft is the best fit for Salesforce-heavy landscapes versus alternatives (Boomi, Jitterbit, native Salesforce tools, or architectural simplification).
- Develop integration roadmaps and governance models that maximize the value of the Salesforce investment while minimizing technical debt.
- Collaborate with Salesforce architects, developers, and admins to ensure end-to-end solutions are secure, performant, and maintainable.
- Mentor client teams on best practices for MuleSoft + Salesforce implementations, API strategy, and shifting from custom code to reusable, product-oriented integrations.
Requirements
Do you have a valid Certified Salesforce Administrator certification?, Do you have experience in Solution architecture design?, * 5+ years of experience in integration architecture, with at least 3 years heavily focused on MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
- Strong Salesforce integration experience is essential - including deep working knowledge of Salesforce APIs, Platform Events, Change Data Capture (CDC), Einstein, MuleSoft Composer, and common integration patterns between Salesforce and back-office systems (ERP, finance, supply chain, etc.).
- Proven track record designing and delivering complex Salesforce-to-ERP and multi-system integrations.
- MuleSoft certifications (MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect or equivalent) strongly preferred.
- Salesforce certifications (Salesforce Administrator, Platform Developer, or Integration Architect) are a big plus.
- Solid understanding of enterprise systems commonly integrated with Salesforce (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, Workday, etc.).
- Excellent ability to communicate with both Salesforce technical teams and business stakeholders.
Preferred Experience
- Previous consulting or solution architecture role with a strong Salesforce + MuleSoft delivery focus.
- Exposure to multiple integration platforms so you can provide unbiased recommendations.
- Experience with modern patterns: event-driven architecture, real-time integration, API management, security (OAuth, JWT, mutual TLS), and monitoring in Salesforce ecosystems.
- Background in industries where Salesforce is central (e.g., manufacturing, retail, financial services, professional services, healthcare)., * Project leadership: 5 years (Required)
