Security Operations Specialist

Watson Protective Services is seeking highly experienced and professional Security Operations Specialists to support one of our premier industrial clients in Columbia, Maryland. This position is ideal for seasoned security professionals with a strong background in industrial security, access control systems, emergency response, and customer service., * Monitor and operate advanced access control, CCTV, and alarm systems, including Genetec or comparable platforms

• Manage visitor processing using SV3 Visitor Management System or similar systems
• Conduct access control for employees, contractors, vendors, and visitors
• Respond to alarms, emergencies, and security incidents
• Coordinate with site leadership, emergency responders, and law enforcement when necessary
• Prepare accurate and detailed incident reports
• Maintain situational awareness in a fast-paced industrial environment
• Enforce facility security and safety protocols

Do you have experience in Writing skills?, * Minimum of 3 years of professional security experience

• Prior experience in a petrochemical plant, refinery, manufacturing facility, or other industrial environment strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of access control and video management systems such as Genetec
• Familiarity with SV3 Visitor Management System or similar visitor management platforms
• Proven emergency response and incident management experience
• Professional appearance and demeanor, * Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities
• Accurate and detailed report writing
• Ability to make sound decisions under pressure
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong situational awareness and attention to detail
• Dependable, punctual, and adaptable

Preferred Experience

• Monitoring CCTV, access control, and alarm systems in a fast-paced environment
• Conducting evacuations and emergency procedures
• Working in regulated industrial or manufacturing settings
• Interacting professionally with employees, visitors, contractors, and management

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
• Ability to monitor multiple systems simultaneously
• Ability to respond rapidly to emergencies
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors as required, * What access control systems do you have experience with?
• Are you experienced with Microsoft?
