Job description
As VP of Engineering, you’ll lead a national, multidisciplinary team responsible for the full lifecycle of engineering - from concept through construction and operations. You’ll oversee design standards, implement modern tools and automation, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, safely, and on budget.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and scale a high-performing team of electrical, civil, mechanical, and structural engineers
- Oversee engineering execution across PV and BESS projects from early development through operations
- Establish technical standards, QA/QC protocols, and design best practices
- Collaborate with development, construction, procurement, and O&M teams
- Drive innovation through AI tools, automation, and modern software platforms
- Ensure compliance with NEC, IEEE, ASCE, AISC, UL, and regulatory requirements
- Serve as the technical authority on complex engineering and design issues
- Develop engineering talent for the future
Requirements
Do you have experience in Team management?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree in engineering?, * 12+ years of progressive engineering experience (5+ in a senior leadership role)
- Background in utility-scale renewable energy, EPC, or infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge of power systems, energy storage, and utility interconnection
- Proven experience leading geographically diverse engineering teams
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (ABET-accredited); PE license
