Job description

Insight Global is seeking a Lead Security Engineer to support a large commercial client responsible for the design, integration, implementation, and lifecycle management of enterprise physical security systems. This individual will serve as a technical leader, providing guidance to engineering teams, driving system architecture decisions, and acting as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders and customers., Develop and execute market surveys, lab evaluations, proof of concepts, and pilots of various physical security technologies.

Assists with the development of system requirements, functional requirements, and allocation of the same to individual hardware, software, facility, and personnel components

Participates in interface definition, design, and changes to the configuration between affected groups and individuals throughout the life cycle

Develops system design solution that satisfies the system requirements and fulfills the functional analysis

Provides technical direction for the development, engineering, interfacing, integration, and testing of specific components of complex hardware/software systems to include requirements elicitation, analysis and functional allocation, conducting systems requirements reviews, developing concepts of operation and interface standards, developing system architectures, and performing technical/non-technical assessment and management as well as end-to-end flow analysis

Develops scenarios (threads) and an Operational Concept that describes the interactions between the system, the user, and the environment, that satisfies operational, support, maintenance, and disposal needs.

Reviews and/or approves system engineering documentation to ensure that processes and specifications meet system needs and are accurate, comprehensive, and complete

Prepares time-line analysis diagrams illustrating the flow of time-dependent functions

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with physical security technologies, including access control, video management, intrusion detection, and low-voltage systems. This role requires deep technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and the ability to develop scalable security solutions while overseeing engineering, integration, testing, and deployment efforts., Bachelors Degree and 5+ years of physical security experience

Strong access control systems experience (Software house CCURE, or Genetec)

Experience supporting large commercial or federal security build outs

Extensive experience in testing, programming, and configuring of physical security systems

Develop proof of concepts, test plans, and other necessary engineering documentation for the client

Experience leading technical teams and providing engineering oversight on large-scale security projects.

Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
