Job description
The System Administrator Lead supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract.
The candidate will: Provide Tier III IT Operations and Maintenance support:
- Specialize in the administration and operations of Linux and Microsoft environments
- Perform Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) cybersecurity compliance, operational sustainment, and other general IT tasks as required to ensure continuous performance and ATO
- Manage system configuration and operation of servers
- Manage, configure, maintain client-based computer systems
- Perform system monitoring, scanning, and response activities
- Perform administration operations and maintenance activities of hardware and software
- Perform root cause analysis to troubleshoot system errors and client system issues
- Perform and maintain DoD Information System Vulnerability Management (IAVM) compliance with routine patching for updates released by vendors
- Manage, update, and maintain configuration management of all configuration changes to systems, patches and anti-virus software updates
- Perform system analysis for virtual service health status to include resource utilization and performance requirements to ensure optimal performance of systems
- Perform routine scans and anti-virus software updates on all systems
- Perform system automation activities with utilizing scripting tools/languages
- Provide System Administration support for IT related meetings and configuration change board reviews
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must have an active DoW Secret Security Clearance with eligibility for upgrade to TS
- Must have 10, or more, years of general full-time work experience (May be reduced with completion of advanced education)
- Must have 5, or more, years of directly related experience
- Must have 6, or more, months of experience working in a management/ leadership role
- Must have a current DoW 8570.01 IAT Level II Certification (e.g. CompTIA Security+ CE Certification)
Desired Qualifications:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Linux Systems Administration
- Experience with virtualization solutions (VMware, OpenShift, etc.)
- Active DoW Top Secret/ SCI clearance
Benefits & conditions
Salary Range: $130,000 - $145,000 annually. Final compensation is based on experience, education, and directly relevant certifications.
