Job description
We’re looking for a Business Analytics Specialist to join our Operational Performance and Compliance Division. This position is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of system business rules and reporting requires for new application implementations and updates to existing applications to ensure timely and accurate reporting of revenue and refunds., * Serves as the team member responsible for providing business and consulting services relevant to business applications.
- Performs the role of business partner to facilitate application changes, production issues and other application-related activities.
- Serves as project manager responsible for managing Agency initiatives, which impact multiple program areas as well as internal and external stakeholders.
- Manages and directs the work of new technology implantation, and major IT or business process modifications.
- This position requires a strong knowledge of LDR, various business processes, and a working knowledge of application systems in support of those processes.
- Must be able of working independently, managing multi-sized contract including stakeholder management, budgeting, planning, requirements gathering, disbursing and deliverable acceptance.
- Creates policies and memorandums of understanding for external agencies, oversees methods and procedures used to implement and maintain the data capture and imaging program., Appointment Type: Probational Appointment, Job Appointment, Promotion, or Detail to Special Duty Career Progression: This position will be filled as a Business Analytics Specialist., A Tax and Natural Disaster Clearance will be conducted on all selected applicants to validate the timely submission of tax returns and payments. It is a requirement that all Revenue employees must adhere to all tax laws of the State of Louisiana.
Requirements
Six years of experience in accounting, budgeting, contracts, economics, engineering, finance, financial auditing, grants, human resources, information technology, management analysis, operational auditing, policy planning, procurement, social services, statistical analysis, tax collections, or tax enforcement; OR
Six years of experience in any field plus three years of experience in accounting, budgeting, contracts, economics, engineering, finance, financial auditing, grants, human resources, information technology, management analysis, operational auditing, policy planning, procurement, social services, statistical analysis, tax collections, or tax enforcement; OR
A bachelor’s degree plus three years of experience in accounting, budgeting, contracts, economics, engineering, finance, financial auditing, grants, human resources, information technology, management analysis, operational auditing, policy planning, procurement, social services, statistical analysis, tax collections, or tax enforcement; OR
An advanced degree plus two years of experience in accounting, budgeting, contracts, economics, engineering, finance, financial auditing, grants, human resources, information technology, management analysis, operational auditing, policy planning, procurement, social services, statistical analysis, tax collections, or tax enforcement.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION: Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.
