Job description
This position will report to the HVSD Design Engineering Manager and is onsite position in Warrendale, PA. Please note that this position will be moving to our new facility in New Galilee in September 2026. More details will be discussed during your interview.
What You’ll Do:
- Perform engineering activities that support the design and manufacture of new High Voltage Switchgear Division (HVSD) products and the advancement of existing gas circuit breaker products.
- Develop, prepare and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and design drawings.
- Analyze new designs requirements for validation of concepts, manufacture and assembly.
- Prepare all drawings and documents required to support the design, manufacturing, and assembly of assigned circuit breakers.
- Develop and design U.S. supplied components as required.
- Support Local Added Value (LAV) design initiatives as required.
- Assist in the design of special customer design options including both mechanical and electrical items.
- Prepare, issue and maintain breaker Instruction Books (IBs) for assigned circuit breakers.
- Assist and support HVSD Manufacturing, Quality, and Sales sections with production related issues or documentation as needed.
- Support field engineers and service personnel with troubleshooting and repair.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Communication skills?, * Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with 0-2 years’ experience with full time employment, internships or co-op programs, or equivalent education and experience.
- Intermediate interpersonal, communication and presentation skills required to communicate with customers, employees, and suppliers.
- Ability to work in a team environment and on several projects simultaneously.
- Ability to read, understand and create technical drawings and material.
- Intermediate analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Intermediate computer skills with emphasis on Microsoft Office products, CAD software, and ERP/MRP systems.
