Job description

Azure data platform. The role requires strong hands-on experience as a DataArchitect with Microsoft Fabric , and other platforms/technologies

like but not limited to Azure Synapse Analytics , SQL Server DataWarehouse , Azure Databricks , and modern Lakehouse and Warehousearchitectures .

The architect defines target-state analytics

architecture, leads platform adoption, and ensures scalable, secure, and

high-performing data solutions aligned with business strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end architecture for MicrosoftFabric solutions, from data ingestion to semantic models and reporting.

  • Design enterprise lakehouse and warehousearchitectures using OneLake, Fabric Lakehouse, and Fabric DataWarehouse.

  • Provide technical leadership, standards, andguardrails for performance, security, governance, and cost optimization.

  • Lead migration and modernization effortsfrom Synapse, SQL Server, Databricks, and legacy platforms to MicrosoftFabric.

  • Design domain-oriented and data mesharchitectures , enabling self-service analytics with enterprisegovernance.

  • Build and promote reusable ingestion,transformation, and CI/CD frameworks .

  • Partner with engineering teams, businessstakeholders, and platform teams to translate requirements into scalablesolutions.

  • Stay current with Microsoft Fabric roadmap andfeature releases and drive platform innovation.

Requirements

  • Microsoft Fabric workloads: OneLake,Lakehouse, Fabric Data Warehouse, Data Engineering (Spark/PySpark), DataFactory (Pipelines, Dataflows Gen2), Real-Time Intelligence (Eventstreams,KQL), Semantic Models (Direct Lake), Power BI .

  • Data modeling: dimensional modeling,star/snowflake schemas, medallion architecture.

  • Languages: SQL (T-SQL), PySpark, DAX .

  • DevOps: Git-based source control and CI/CD using Azure DevOps or GitHub.

  • Governance & Security: Microsoft Purview,RBAC, sensitivity labels .

Required Experience

  • 10+ years in data architecture, analyticsplatforms, or data engineering roles.

  • Proven architecture experience deliveringenterprise solutions on Microsoft Fabric .

  • Strong background with Azure SynapseAnalytics, Azure Databricks, and SQL Server Data Warehouse .

  • Experience with cloud-scale migrations ,modernization, and enterprise BI deployments.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to leadthrough influence.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Microsoft certifications (Fabric Analytics, AzureSolutions Architect).

  • Experience implementing enterprise data mesh or large-scale Power BI environments.

  • Knowledge of and/or experience with Fabricsubscription/tenant/capacity configurations and set up.

  • Experience with workload distribution designacross capacities, workspaces

  • Experience with semantic modeling/ontologies forself-service BI/Analytics

organizational needs. At Capgemini, it is not typical for an individual to be

hired at or near the top of the range for their role. The base salary range for

the tagged location is 150K to 165K per annum.

This

role may be eligible for other compensation including variable compensation,

bonus, or commission. Full time regular employees are eligible for paid time

off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and any other benefits to

eligible employees.
