Job description

Our client is seeking a highly skilled SAP Functional Consultant to provide expertise to a federal client in support of their mission critical Department of Defense ERP modernization program. As an SAP Functional Consultant supporting Procure-to-Pay and Materials Management, you will be responsible for configuring, implementing, and sustaining SAP S/4HANA procurement and supply chain business processes across the enterprise. Responsibilities:

  • Configure and support SAP S/4HANA Procure-to-Pay (PTP) and Materials Management (MM) functionality.
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional designs, system configurations, and technical specifications.
  • Support end-to-end procurement business processes including:
  • Requisition Management
  • Purchase Orders
  • Source Determination
  • Vendor Master Data
  • Material Master Data
  • Inventory Management
  • Goods Receipt
  • Invoice Verification
  • Stock Transfers
  • Physical Inventory
  • Procurement Analytics and Reporting
  • Configure purchasing organizations, purchasing groups, plants, storage locations, valuation areas, and account determination.
  • Support procurement lifecycle activities from purchase requisition through payment.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to improve procurement efficiency and supply chain operations.
  • Develop Functional Design Documents (FDDs), business process documentation, configuration guides, and training materials.
  • Prepare functional specifications for Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflows (RICEFW).
  • Partner with ABAP developers to support custom enhancements and interface development.
  • Perform unit testing, system integration testing, user acceptance testing, and defect resolution.
  • Support data migration activities for vendor, material, purchasing, pricing, and inventory master data.
  • Analyze production issues and provide Tier II/Tier III production support.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
  • Assist with production deployments, release planning, and system stabilization.
  • Support cybersecurity, audit, and Authority to Operate (ATO) activities as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Information Systems, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of SAP functional experience supporting Procure-to-Pay and Materials Management.
  • Experience implementing or supporting SAP S/4HANA.
  • Strong understanding of:

  • Invoice Verification
  • Stock Management
  • Procurement Reporting
  • Experience developing functional specifications for custom SAP enhancements.
  • Experience supporting testing, production support, and system enhancements.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting Department of Defense ERP modernization initiatives.
  • Experience with SAP Activate implementation methodology.
  • Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies.
  • Experience integrating PTP/MM with:
  • Financial Accounting (FI)
  • Controlling (CO)
  • Funds Management (FM)
  • Sales & Distribution (SD)
  • Transportation Management (TM)
  • Extended Warehouse Management (EWM)
  • Enterprise Asset Management (EAM)
  • Global Trade Services (GTS)
  • Experience with SAP Fiori applications.
  • Familiarity with SAP Cloud ALM or SAP Solution Manager.
  • Experience supporting large-scale logistics and supply chain modernization efforts.
