Job description

Herdt Consulting is preparing to support a large-scale enterprise systems program for the U.S. Navy, delivering mission-critical ERP modernization, and optimization services across its supported commands. This program enables financial, supply chain, and procurement operations within a highly regulated DoD environment, requiring seamless alignment between business processes, technology, and data to ensure compliance, performance, and mission readiness.

The Data Scientist / Palantir Data Engineer will design and build Palantir Foundry-based analytics and data engineering solutions supporting ERP+ migration, enabling large-scale data profiling, anomaly detection, reconciliation, and migration quality metrics.

  • Develop Foundry pipelines, analytics, and data engineering solutions specifically tailored for SAP migration.
  • Build robust data quality dashboards, reconciliation controls, and migration metrics. Develop scalable profiling, cleansing, matching, and anomaly detection capabilities.
  • Integrate SAP, Advana/Jupiter, Databricks, and other critical enterprise data sources to maintain data continuity.
  • Support process mining, AI/ML, automation, and data governance initiatives across the enterprise program.
  • Partner with migration, functional, and architecture teams to ensure seamless data delivery and system performance.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with Palantir Foundry or a similar enterprise-level data platform.
  • Strong SQL and Python skills, coupled with direct experience in ETL/data engineering and large-scale analytics.
  • Proven experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) ERP or SAP data environments.
  • Active Secret Clearance.

  • Experience working with Advana/Jupiter, Databricks, Spark/PySpark, or Process Mining tools (such as Celonis or Signavio).

Benefits & conditions

  • The chance to be part of a company with a reputation for excellence in task execution.
  • 3 weeks of paid vacation each year plus 11 federal holidays.
  • Competitive Medical (Blue Cross Blue Shield), Dental, and Vision insurance.
  • 401K program with Fidelity (including company match) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA).
  • Short-term and Long-term Disability provided at no cost, plus voluntary Life and AD&D options.
