Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Java Developer to join client’s Data & Analytics team. This role will focus on the maintenance, enhancement, and evolution of existing backend systems and web-based applications supporting global trading platforms., * Design, develop, and enhance backend services and web applications.

  • Build scalable RESTful APIs and microservices.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following engineering best practices.
  • Participate in technical design reviews and architecture discussions.
  • Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate backend services and UI components.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance.
  • Translate business requirements and user stories into technical solutions.
  • Maintain and improve existing applications while ensuring stability and reliability.
  • Work closely with Product Owners, QA teams, and fellow developers within Agile teams.
  • Communicate technical concepts effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Continuously evaluate and adopt modern technologies and development practices.

Requirements

  • Java, Spring Boot, Microservices
  • SQL
  • Docker, Kubernetes, The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, SQL, and modern application development practices. Experience working in financial services, capital markets, or trading platforms is highly desirable., * 4+ years of software engineering experience (8+ years preferred).
  • Strong Java development experience (Java 21 preferred).
  • Solid expertise with:
  • Spring Framework
  • Spring Boot 3.x
  • REST API development
  • Microservices architecture
  • Strong understanding of:
  • Collections
  • Concurrency
  • Memory management
  • Object-oriented programming
  • Experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases.
  • Strong SQL development and query optimization skills.
  • Experience with Git and Maven/Gradle.
  • Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Linux/Unix environments.
  • Strong focus on unit testing, code quality, and code reviews.
  • Experience working within Agile/Scrum teams.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Equivalent professional experience will also be considered.

Preferred:

  • Experience with JSF, JSP, or legacy web technologies.
  • Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks and component-based architectures.
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing practices.
  • Knowledge of distributed systems concepts.
  • Experience with Spring ecosystem tooling.
  • Financial services, capital markets, or trading platform experience.
  • Understanding of Equities, Futures, Options, or trade lifecycle management solutions.
