Software Developer

EKO Strategies LLC is seeking a talented Software Developer to join our dynamic team. In this hybrid role, you will contribute to the development of cutting-edge software solutions while also supporting data-driven research, analysis, and modeling initiatives. Collaborating closely with developers, data scientists, and project managers, participating in all stages of the software development lifecycle-from planning and design to implementation, testing, and maintenance., Develop, maintain, and enhance complex applications using Java, Python, and JavaScript.

• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.

• Design, develop, and execute manual and automated tests to ensure reliability and performance.

• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve bugs and performance issues.

• Participate in and lead code reviews to ensure high code quality and adherence to best practices.

• Collaborate with team members to improve product quality and workflows.

• Work with SQL and NoSQL databases within Agile development environments.

• Manage code repositories using Git or similar version control tools.

• Ensure technical documentation and versioning are consistently maintained.

• Identify and utilize appropriate data sources to meet project requirements for monitoring, characterization, analysis, and modeling.

• Write and edit scientific reports, project deliverables, and documentation in accordance with established government standards.

• Proofread and refine draft and final documents for quality and consistency.

• Independently plan and execute assigned tasks.

-Ensure data integrity, documentation, and version control throughout the project lifecycle.

-Collaborate with cross-functional teams-including engineering, product, and project management-to implement and operationalize data solutions.

4-5 years of related professional experience.

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field OR an additional 8 years of relevant experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
