Job description
As our IT Support Specialist/Network Manager, you’ll be the first responder for anything technology-related across markets - setting up new hires, keeping workstations and printers running, managing email and Microsoft 365 accounts, and supporting QuickBooks for the finance team. You’ll work alongside our external IT provider, who handles the phone system, servers, and network infrastructure, and you’ll be the friendly face our teams turn to when something isn’t working. This is a customer-service role as much as a technical one., * First response and help desk - Be the company’s main point of contact for day-to-day IT issues, run a simple intake/ticketing process with clear response expectations, and resolve or escalate quickly.
- Workstation setup and repair - Set up and image workstations for new hires (including Outlook and core software), keep machines current on updates, repair or replace hardware, and keep printers connected and working.
- Email and account management - Create and delete Microsoft 365 accounts, manage passwords, permissions, and MFA, and revoke access promptly when someone leaves.
- QuickBooks support - Administer and troubleshoot QuickBooks for the finance team, including user setup, permissions, and software updates, and collaborate effectively with QuickBooks customer support.
- Vendor coordination - Work day-to-day with our external IT provider on the phone system, servers, and network - being their eyes and hands on-site and escalating anything beyond first response.
- New-location setup - Help stand up IT (stations, accounts, printers, phones) for new offices as the company expands.
- Documentation and asset tracking - Keep simple runbooks current and maintain an inventory of devices and software licenses across markets.
Requirements
- 2+ years in an IT support / help desk role, ideally for a multi-site small or mid-size business.
- A customer-service mindset - patient, responsive, and comfortable being the front desk for IT.
- Hands-on experience setting up and troubleshooting Windows workstations, printers, and peripherals.
- Administration of Microsoft 365 (accounts, permissions, MFA).
- QuickBooks experience.
- Strong first-response instincts - knowing what to fix yourself and what to escalate.
- Good documentation habits.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to other markets.
- Availability outside business hours - able to respond to urgent issues in the evenings and on weekends when needed.
Nice to Have
- Networking experience - routers, WiFi, firewalls, and VLANs (UniFi a plus).
- Server experience - on-premise or cloud.
- Familiarity with security camera systems.
- Experience working with VoIP / phone system providers.
