Sr. Cloud Architect

• Lead cloud infrastructure implementation projects across public cloud providers such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure, and private clouds like OpenStack or VMware-based environments.
• Develop and enforce best practices for cloud security, including identity and access management (IAM), data protection, and compliance standards such as FedRAMP.
• Architect and optimize containerization systems using Kubernetes, Docker, and other microservices frameworks to support modern application development.
• Automate deployment processes utilizing DevOps tools like Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines to streamline operations and reduce manual effort.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design resilient distributed systems capable of supporting high availability and scalability requirements.
• Implement cloud migration projects by assessing existing infrastructure, planning migration strategies, and executing seamless transitions with minimal downtime.

• Extensive experience in solution architecture within cloud computing environments involving IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service), PaaS (Platform as a Service), and SaaS (Software as a Service).
• Proven expertise in designing and deploying scalable systems using public cloud platforms such as AWS (Amazon Web Services), Google Cloud Platform, or Azure.
• Strong background in virtualization technologies including VMware, OpenStack, Citrix, Rackspace, and related tools like Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs) and Virtual Private Networks (VPNs).
• Deep understanding of cloud security principles including identity management solutions (IAM), encryption protocols, compliance standards like FedRAMP, and secure web services integration.
• Hands-on experience with scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, Bash scripting for automation; proficiency with configuration management tools like Chef or Puppet is a plus.
• Knowledge of container orchestration platforms including Kubernetes and Docker; familiarity with microservices architecture design principles.
• Background in implementing cloud migration projects with a focus on operational excellence using Agile methodologies; experience with SDLC processes is preferred.

$110 - $120 an hour - Contract
