AWS is seeking a ADC Engineer to own and advance mission critical services in our Amazon Dedicated Clouds (ADC).

We are looking for Engineers to work as a team that will deploy AWS Systems Manager (SSM) services to air-gapped regions and support government customers operating in those regions. This position requires that the candidate selected must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance. The position further requires that, after start, the selected candidate obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph or commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work.

Key job responsibilities

• Troubleshooting, diagnosing and fixing production software issues

• Developing monitoring solutions

• Performing software maintenance and configuration

• Implementing the fix for internally developed code (Perl, Ruby, C/C++, JAVA, Python)

• Updating, tracking and resolving technical challenges

• Working alongside development on AWS projects

• Updating/enhancing our current software

• Automation of support processes and documentation of our systems

Associate’s degree or above, or CND (Certified Network Defender) or GSEC (GIAC Security Essentials)

• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby

• Experience tools for automation (building, testing, releasing or monitoring)

• 1+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems and hands-on systems engineering experience

• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby

• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of and proficiency in the use of Python scripting language

• Experience on highly concurrent, high throughput systems and knowledge of complex distributed systems

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
