Senior Software Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Python Back End Developer with expertise

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of financial markets, strong programming skills in Python, and experience developing and maintaining back-end systems for trading application s. Key Responsibilities:Develop and maintain robust back-end systems for trade capture and processing.Design, implement, and optimise data models and database schemas related to Rates trading.Collaborate with front-end developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality financial software solutions.Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.Integrate third-party APIs and financial data feeds.Implement and enforce security best practices to protect sensitive financial information.Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems.Write and maintain technical documentation.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.5+ years of experience in back-end development using Python.Strong knowledge of Rates products (e.g., interest rate swaps, bonds, futures) and trade capture processes.Experience with financial markets and instruments.Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).Familiarity with distributed systems, microservices architecture, and RESTful APIs.Knowledge of version control systems, preferably Git.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).Familiarity with other programming languages such as Java or C++.Understanding of front-end technologies (e.g., JavaScript, HTML, CSS) is a plus.Prior experience in a financial services or trading environment.Strong analytical and mathematical skil ls.
