As a Data Architect in the Financing Journey tribe, you make a difference by shaping and future-proofing our data landscape. You design data architectures while working closely with business stakeholders, business architects, solution architects, squads, and other stakeholders within the Wholesale & Rural domain. Together, you contribute to a dynamic, international environment where data is a strategic asset for delivering value to our clients and colleagues.

As a Data Architect, you are primarily responsible for ensuring that data solutions align with the enterprise architecture, data strategy, and regulatory requirements. You support teams in designing scalable, secure, and reliable data solutions that enable trusted and actionable insights.

You actively track developments in data management, analytics, artificial intelligence, cloud technologies, and industry best practices, translating these into future-ready data capabilities. You guide colleagues and management on data architecture principles, standards, governance, and data-driven transformation initiatives. You participate in proof-of-concepts, align designs with peers and engineering teams, drive architectural decision-making, and ensure guidelines are understood and adopted across squads.

The Area Data Capabilities is responsible for implementing the foundational IT data capabilities that support the W&R domain. As the central expertise hub for Client and Party Data, Document Management, Management Information, Data Access, Data Availability, Data Analytics, and Cognitive Capture, the Area ensures that W&R can rely on a robust and future-ready data landscape.

  • Take ownership and responsibility for the quality of the domain data architecture and the realization of data solutions.
  • Define and promote data standards, governance frameworks, and architectural principles across squads.
  • Proactively monitor market developments in data management, analytics, AI, and cloud technologies and translate them into practical solutions.
  • Guide teams in transitioning from the current state toward target data architectures and strategic data platforms.
  • Ensure data solutions comply with security, privacy, governance, and regulatory requirements.

  • 36 or 40 hours per week.
  • Work in a dynamic environment with cloud technologies such as Azure and AWS.
  • Shape the data foundations supporting 9.5 million customers worldwide.

  • Partner with Solution Architects and engineering teams to design and govern scalable, secure, and future-proof data architectures that align with enterprise standards and support end-to-end solution architectures.
  • Actively contribute to and help shape the Financing Journey Data Improvements initiative, driving the evolution of data as a product by defining standards (or align with Enterprise Data Standards), promoting domain ownership, and enabling the development of reusable, trusted, and business-value-driven data products.
  • Work closely with Data Modellers and Data Management to ensure data products, information models, governance practices are aligned and consistently applied across the Financing Journey landscape.

You will work within the Financing Journey tribe, specifically in the Data Capabilities domain. Here, you collaborate closely with business architects, solution architects, data engineers, analytics specialists, product owners, and other stakeholders to deliver data-driven solutions that create value for our customers and colleagues.

We believe in the power of diversity. By combining our differences, we become a better bank. We’re curious to see what you can bring to our Data Capabilities team.

The people in Data Capabilities are dedicated to optimizing the employee experience by ensuring that colleagues across W&R can make fast, confident, data-driven decisions based on accurate and reliable information. We focus on providing high-quality data, intuitive access, and clear insights that support our teams in their daily work.

As a Data Architect, you play a key role in establishing the foundations that enable trusted data, advanced analytics, operational excellence, and innovation throughout the organization.
