Job description

  • Coordinate assigned development and DVT work packages for complex embedded electronics, assemblies, test environments and linked system interfaces from re-quirements clarification through verification evidence and handover to subsequent maturity or industrialization steps.
  • Define and align technical requirements, verification objectives, schedules, priorities, interfaces and acceptance criteria; compare planned and actual progress, recognize deviations or technical difficulties and initiate corrective actions within the assigned scope.
  • Plan, execute and oversee functional, integration, regression and design verification tests for embedded hardware, firmware, software and FPGA-related interfaces, in-cluding test cases with many dependencies, new technologies and cross-disciplinary development interfaces.
  • Evaluate test and measurement results, assess design maturity and technical risks, document findings traceably, ensure implementation of agreed design or test improvements and provide qualified input for release, quality and project decisions.
  • Coordinate internal and external contributors for assigned development and verification tasks, including clarification of interfaces, delivery dates, functional readiness, documentation status, issue resolution and readiness of assemblies, prototypes, test setups or processes for subsequent development steps.
  • Collaborate with hardware, firmware, software, FPGA, system engineering, quality, purchasing and suppliers or development partners; support supplier or partner evaluation from a verification perspective and follow up development progress, technical findings and corrective measures.
  • Design and further develop reusable test architectures, automated test procedures, scripts, data structures and selected test environments to increase efficiency, re-peatability, transparency and scalability of verification activities across products or platforms.
  • Develop and apply expertise in structured testing data management, signal integrity, qualitative data evaluation, requirements-based verification and practical electronics validation; transfer lessons learned into standards, methods and improvement proposals for DVT and quality processes.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or comparable qualification in electrical engineering, electronics, embedded systems, computer engineering, mecha-tronics, software engineering or a related technical field.
  • Additional training in software testing, requirements engineering, quality meth-ods, test automation or ISTQB are beneficial.
  • Several years of relevant professional experience in testing, verification or validation of embedded systems, electronics, firmware, soft-ware or mechatronic products.
  • The role requires practical experience in coordinating difficult development or verification tasks, typically gained through at least one to two years of relevant project experience, including development-accompanying tests, DVT, test setup definition, measurement result evaluation, documentation, work package coordination and collaboration with suppliers or development partners.
  • Broad understanding of embedded systems, electronics, hardware/software integration, FPGA-related interfaces and product develop-ment processes.
  • Sound practical experience with requirements-based test design, test execution, DVT documentation, defect descrip-tion, measurement result evaluation and root cause analysis.
  • Good scripting or programming skills, preferably Python and/or C/C++, and practical experience with test automation, structured testing data management and selected laboratory or measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies or bus analyzers.
  • Ability to develop or adapt solution patterns for difficult verification problems, define interfaces, structure complex dependencies, communicate across differing technical assumptions and align internal and external partners.
  • Structured, quality-oriented and analytical working style.
  • Fluent technical English and German language skills are advantageous.

About the company
