As Infrastructure & Operations Lead, you will be responsible for the operational leadership, coordination, and delivery of TechOps and Internal IT activities.

You will ensure service continuity, infrastructure reliability, and execution excellence across production systems while guiding a team of system and infrastructure engineers as well as internal IT engineers.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you will contribute technically while also driving operational maturity, alignment, and continuous improvement across the organisation., Operational leadership & delivery

  • Lead day-to-day operations across TechOps and Internal IT teams
  • Coordinate priorities, workload, and execution of infrastructure initiatives
  • Ensure service continuity, incident/problem management, and escalation handling
  • Oversee internal IT services, including workplace IT and user support
  • Drive operational quality, reporting, audit readiness, and continuous improvement
  • Create clarity, structure, and alignment across teams and stakeholders

Infrastructure & platform operations

  • Contribute hands-on to production infrastructure operations and evolution
  • Manage highly available Linux-based infrastructures across datacenters
  • Oversee virtualization, containerization, and private cloud platforms
  • Ensure infrastructure reliability, resilience, and stability

DNS & core platform services

  • Operate and support large-scale authoritative DNS environments
  • Maintain registry and backend systems (Java, Python, PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ)
  • Ensure availability, performance, scalability, and security of core services

Automation, monitoring & observability

  • Drive Infrastructure as Code and automation (Terraform, Ansible)
  • Improve CI/CD practices for infrastructure workflows
  • Strengthen monitoring and observability (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
  • Improve alerting, visibility, and operational insights

Networking, database & security operations

  • Support networking and distributed systems (routing, firewalls, anycast)
  • Oversee PostgreSQL environments in collaboration with DBA providers
  • Ensure compliance with security standards, architecture principles, and best practices
  • Maintain backup, identity management, and operational security controls

Collaboration & continuous improvement

  • Collaborate across infrastructure, engineering, security, and architecture teams
  • Foster accountability, knowledge sharing, and operational maturity
  • Improve processes, documentation, and governance
  • Stay up to date with modern infrastructure and DevOps practices

Requirements

Do you have experience in VMware?, * 8+ years in IT infrastructure, TechOps, or systems engineering

  • Proven experience leading technical operations teams in production environments
  • Strong background in incident management and service continuity
  • Experience in DNS or registry environments is a plus

Technical skills

  • Strong Linux (RHEL-based) administration and infrastructure expertise
  • Solid understanding of DNS, networking, distributed systems, and security
  • Experience with VMware, Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenStack
  • Strong background in automation, IaC, CI/CD, and scripting
  • Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
  • Familiarity with PostgreSQL environments and DBA collaboration
