Using TROOP, companies have saved millions in travel costs, employee time, and carbon emissions, making it possible for people to meet and build stronger relationships with their colleagues, clients, and partners, even in times of tightening budgets and travel restrictions.Remote, based in Spain or South Africa.What you’ll be doingBuild and maintain end-to-end features, from designing interactive and responsive user interfaces to implementing secure, scalable backend servicesDevelop seamless web applications by combining modern front-end frameworks with robust server-side logicDesign, create, and optimize databases to ensure efficient data storage, modeling, and retrievalBuild and maintain APIs to enable smooth communication between front-end and backend systemsImplement best practices for security, authentication, and data protection across the stackTroubleshoot, profile, and optimize code and database queries to improve performance and scalabilityCollaborate closely with Product Designers, Engineers, and cross-functional teams to bring ideas to lifeTake ownership of features and projects, seeing them through from conception to deliveryWrite clean, maintainable, and reusable code, with a focus on long-term scalabilityRequirementsMinimum of 5+ years of professional experience as a software engineer, with strong expertise across the stackProven experience with front-end technologies: Vue3 (Composition API), TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, Pinia and Apollo GraphQLProven experience with backend technologies: Node.js, Apollo GraphQL, TypeScript, GCP, PostgreSQLStrong database design and optimization skillsExperience designing and consuming APIsFamiliarity with AI development tools and frameworksStrong problem-solving skills and a passion for building scalable, reliable systemsAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively within a teamDemonstrated experience taking features or products from concept to releaseBSc in Computer Science or equivalentBenefitsRemote-first within our hubs: TROOP operates remotely with frequent in-person engagements, focusing on scaling within our legal entities in Spain, South Africa and the US.Join the Pioneering Team: As part of the initial team at TROOP, you’ll be at the forefront of an extraordinary adventure. Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience as a software engineer, with strong expertise across the stack Proven experience with front-end technologies: Vue3 (Composition API), TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, Pinia and Apollo GraphQL Proven experience with backend technologies: Node.js, Apollo GraphQL, TypeScript, GCP, PostgreSQL Strong database design and optimization skills Experience designing and consuming APIs Familiarity with AI development tools and frameworks Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for building scalable, reliable systems Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team Demonstrated experience taking features or products from concept to release BSc in Computer Science or equivalent
