Joko is a tech company founded in Paris, dedicated to helping consumers shop smarter by providing features such as cashback, coupons, price alerts, carbon tracking, and more.We are a certified B Corporation with 105+ team members across Paris, Barcelona, New York, and remote.Position: Data EngineerResponsibilities Scale our data infrastructure: Build solid foundations that enable AI data products used company?wide.Design and maintain data pipelines: Unlock scalable data modeling: Support analysts by improving dbt organization, factorizing jobs, ensuring quality and scalability.Ensure data quality & observability: Implement monitoring, testing, and alerting systems for freshness, reliability, and accuracy.Manage data access & governance: Define and enforce access control policies in Snowflake, Metabase, etc.Tackle future challenges: support new market launches, manage growing volumes, centralize pipelines within orchestration tools.5+ years of experience in data engineering or similar roles with ownership of building or scaling data infrastructure.~ Track record of implementing or scaling a modern data stack (Airflow, dbt, BigQuery/Snowflake, event streaming, etc.) Proficient in SQL and Python.~ Hands?on experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow and cloud environments (Snowflake, GCP, AWS).~ Strong understanding of data modeling, warehousing principles, and performance optimization.~ Interest and curiosity in AI and its applications within data.~ Fluent in English, written and spoken.Equity for all full?time employees.~ Yearly offsite and team?building event budget.~ Location & Compensation Paris, Barcelona - possible partial remote.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in data engineering or similar roles with ownership of building or scaling data infrastructure. ~ Track record of implementing or scaling a modern data stack (Airflow, dbt, BigQuery/Snowflake, event streaming, etc.) Proficient in SQL and Python. ~ Hands?on experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow and cloud environments (Snowflake, GCP, AWS). ~ Strong understanding of data modeling, warehousing principles, and performance optimization. ~ Interest and curiosity in AI and its applications within data. ~ Fluent in English, written and spoken.
