Job description
As a Systems Integration Engineer, the successful candidate will design, implement and validate vehicle electrical systems by reviewing and approving device transmittals, developing vehicle-level logical schematics, conducting design/compatibility reviews, defining fusing and grounding strategies, supporting system-level validation/diagnostics, providing technical support for prototype and pre-production builds. You will also perform System Level tests for ECU integration by flashing ECU software and calibration files, performing configuraiton, commanding and analyzing self-test results, and performing functional tests.
Requirements
Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Wiring, Root Cause Analysis Electrical Engineering Must have a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (or Master’s). Systems Engineering Must have prior experience with systems engineering, meaning, be. Ability to design, test and troubleshoot systems were multiple stand-alone electrical and electronic components are connected to work together. Electrical Wiring Must know how to interpret electrical wiring diagrams and schematics. Root Cause Analysis Must demonstrate the ability to understand causal effects and establish a structured approach to identify and validate potential causes for that undesirable behavior. Experience Required: Design/Develop program specific electrical system schematics Support electrical device transmittal process: BSEM GDT Set-up, Create DT Status Report Develop program specific system FMEA and DVP (Validation Plans) Prototype Breadboards (parts list development & sign-off, validation, sign-off) Prototype Vehicle Builds (Yellowboard software flashing and configuration, functional sign-off, & troubleshooting) Lead compatibility reviews to verify all module and wiring interfaces Support builds at production plant Electrical schematics design CAN Network ECU software flashing and diagnostics Root Cause Analysis Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree Hybrid (4 days per week in the office / Can be 5-6 days depending on prototype and launch build needs.
