Data Engineer III

• Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines using client’s internal tools such as Dataswarm and Spark.
• Build and maintain dashboards and reporting tools using Unidash and internal BI platforms.
• Partner with Data Scientists and Product teams to validate data quality and ensure metric integrity.
• Develop and maintain production-grade Hive/Presto tables with documentation and SLAs.
• Monitor pipeline health, troubleshoot data issues, and implement alerting.
• Optimize query performance and data models for efficiency at scale.
• Support ad-hoc data requests and enable self-serve analytics for cross-functional partners.

We are seeking a Data Engineer III to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in building scalable data pipelines, SQL, and data warehousing and a proven ability to deliver reliable, well-documented data assets that enable analytics and decision-making., * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.

• 3+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or a related role.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, including Presto, Hive, or SparkSQL.
• Experience building and maintaining data pipelines with orchestration tools such as Airflow or Dataswarm.
• Experience with Python or a similar scripting language.
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to data quality.

Preferred Skills:

• 5+ years of relevant experience in data engineering.
• Experience with large-scale data processing frameworks such as Spark or Hadoop.
• Experience with dashboard and visualization tools such as Tableau or Unidash.
• Experience with logging infrastructure and instrumentation.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git or Mercurial.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment, ideally at a large tech company.
