Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Team Lead - Technical Records - Qantas Group based in Spain.This role offers the opportunity to lead technical records and digital asset management initiatives within the aviation industry, ensuring operational excellence and regulatory compliance across complex projects. You will oversee the delivery of technical records compliance, digitalization, and asset lifecycle services while managing a high-performing team. Working closely with internal stakeholders and airline customers, you will drive process improvements, digital transformation, and service quality. The position combines strategic leadership, project management, and technical expertise to optimize aviation records and asset management operations. You will play a key role in enhancing customer experience, improving operational efficiency, and supporting business growth in a collaborative, technology-driven environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced aviation professional with strong leadership capabilities and a passion for continuous improvement.AccountabilitiesLead the strategic direction of the technical records team, ensuring the successful delivery of compliance, digitalization, and asset management services.Develop and execute initiatives that improve asset lifecycle management, technical records processes, and digital engineering capabilities.Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary team responsible for technical records compliance, digital migration, records quality reviews, end-of-lease transitions, and asset management activities.Allocate resources, monitor project progress, and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality services that meet customer expectations and regulatory requirements.Collaborate with product, innovation, IT, operations, and commercial teams to implement digital solutions that improve workflow automation and operational efficiency.Serve as the primary point of contact for airline customers, maintenance organizations, and lessors regarding technical records, compliance, and digital transformation initiatives.Ensure technical records comply with applicable aviation regulations and industry standards, including EASA, FAA, and IATA requirements.Produce reports and performance insights related to compliance status, digital migration progress, asset quality, and project delivery.Identify operational risks, implement mitigation strategies, and optimize resource planning to support business growth and cost-effective service delivery.Drive continuous improvement initiatives while promoting employee development, technical training, and knowledge sharing across the team.Requirements7+ years of experience in aviation technical records, aircraft asset management, technical services, or a related field.Minimum 2 years of experience leading teams and managing complex aviation projects.Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, or a related discipline.Strong expertise in aircraft technical records, maintenance documentation, asset lifecycle management, lease transitions, and compliance audits.Experience managing aircraft acquisitions, lease returns, or asset transition projects.Hands-on experience with aviation maintenance and engineering systems such as AMOS, TRAX, Maintenix, or similar platforms.Experience with flydocs solutions is considered an advantage.Strong project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams, optimize processes, and deliver high-quality outcomes.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic planning capabilities.Strong communication, stakeholder management, and customer relationship skills.Customer-focused mindset with a collaborative approach, leadership abilities, adaptability, and commitment to continuous learning.BenefitsFull-time position with remote work flexibility and a hybrid collaboration model.Opportunity to lead large-scale aviation digital transformation and technical records projects.Exposure to global airline operations, asset management, and regulatory compliance initiatives.Collaborative environment with cross-functional teams and international stakeholders.Professional development opportunities through leadership, technical, and digital transformation initiatives.Business travel opportunities based on project requirements.Opportunity to work with advanced aviation digital systems and industry-leading asset management solutions.#J-*****-Ljbffr

Requirements

7+ years of experience in aviation technical records, aircraft asset management, technical services, or a related field. Minimum 2 years of experience leading teams and managing complex aviation projects. Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, or a related discipline. Strong expertise in aircraft technical records, maintenance documentation, asset lifecycle management, lease transitions, and compliance audits. Experience managing aircraft acquisitions, lease returns, or asset transition projects. Hands-on experience with aviation maintenance and engineering systems such as AMOS, TRAX, Maintenix, or similar platforms. Experience with flydocs solutions is considered an advantage.
