Job description
We are seeking a dependable, customer-focused Help Desk Technician to provide exceptional technical support and ensure a positive end-user experience. The ideal candidate is reliable, organized, and committed to delivering consistent, high-quality service. Success in this role requires strong troubleshooting skills, effective communication, ownership of issues from resolution through follow-up, thorough documentation, and a proactive approach to supporting users. The ability to remain calm under pressure, work collaboratively, and maintain reliable attendance is essential.
This role is 100% on site in our Windsor, CT office.
What You Will Contribute:
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to reliability through consistent attendance, punctuality, and readiness to support users during scheduled work hours.
- Provide support for company issued hardware, work related software, Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365 apps such as Outlook, and peripherals.
- Manage tickets from creation through resolution with thorough documentation.
- Perform onboarding/offboarding, account administration in Active Directory, License management in Microsoft 365 Admin Center, and asset management.
- Provide on-site support and remote support using ConnectWise ScreenConnect.
- Escalate issues appropriately while maintaining communication with end users.
- Identify recurring issues and contribute to documentation and process improvements

Requirements
- Experience in a technician role supporting in person and remote users.
- Experience with ticketing systems.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 apps such as Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Onboarding / Offboarding User Accounts and Equipment
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Critical Thinking for Troubleshooting, * CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft 365 Fundamentals or MD-102 Equivalent.
- Exchange Admin Center Experience.
- Command Prompt and PowerShell Usage.
- Task Manager, Registry Editor, and Device Manager Usage.
- TOTP Single Sign On.
- iOS troubleshooting.
- JAMF MDM.
- Basic networking fundamentals.
- Audio Visual Knowledge., * Must be highly mobile, able to access all areas of the premises.
- Ability to concentrate and remain focused while prioritizing multiple tasks, responsibilities, and projects.
- Ability to sit for prolonged period of times.
- Able to perform bending, twisting, stooping, reaching, and lifting of moderate to heavyweight material up to 50 lbs. with assistance from equipment or other employees.
- Ability to frequently use hands and arms.
- Vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to work responsibly and professionally in dynamic job sites that may involve tight timelines, changing priorities, and interaction with customers and team members.
Certain positions are designated as safety-sensitive due to the nature of the work performed. Employees in these roles may also be expected to:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, and reach for extended periods while servicing equipment.
- Ability to work in tight spaces or awkward positions, including accessing equipment interiors and elevated areas.
- Strong hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills required for precise electrical, mechanical, and diagnostic work.
- Ability to work in industrial environments, with exposure to noise, lubricants, coolants, metal chips, and other manufacturing conditions, while consistently wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Benefits & conditions
Salary Range: $47,000-$58,000
