Product Engineering is responsible for the development and delivery of our consumer-facing applications. Today, that includes enterprise SaaS web development. Our applications are a window into our knowledge base of millions of healthcare professional profiles and their affiliations. The product engineering team builds the applications that allow our customers to search and visualize information to make rapid, business-critical decisions.

WHAT YOU’LL DO AT H1

As a Software Engineer on the Product Engineering team, you will assist in developing our product’s technical strategy, H1 Trial Landscape. Collaborate closely with your team to deliver the most innovative, reliable, and high-quality healthcare data application available.

You will:

  • Assist in building a world-class user experience
  • Work on APIs powering our applications
  • Build and maintain data pipelines using Airflow and Kafka
  • Build and maintain client-facing applications powered by React (TanStack Start, Next.js, and more)
  • Ensure you are supporting your team in delivering the best healthcare data application in the market
  • Manage and deploy infrastructure using Docker and Kubernetes
  • Work across teams, managing cross-functional dependencies where required

Requirements

The H1 core product is built with Typescript, React, Node.JS, ElasticSearch, SQL, Kubernetes, and AWS. You are not afraid to use modern tools and enjoy working in a modern tech stack.

You will adopt new technologies tempered by due diligence., 3+ years of experience in building products within top-tier engineering teams
  • Experience with our core technologies: Typescript/ Javascript, React, NodeJS, SQL, GraphQL, ElasticSearch, AWS
  • Experience with databases like PostgreSQL
  • Software management tools such as Git, JIRA, and CircleCI
  • Experience with or strong willingness to learn data pipeline tools such as Apache Airflow and Apache Kafka
  • Developer Operations, deploying to systems like AWS and Kubernetes

Bonus Skills

  • Experience in healthcare or clinical trials
  • Familiarity with Agentic tools and their application in real-world engineering scenarios.
  • Experience building GraphQL services
