Job description

The Senior Security Engineer will performs non-standard engineering analysis, development and design work that requires considerable engineering skill, creative ability, and independent judgment. May provide technical supervision to lower level engineers and technical staff. Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. Typically reports to a project leader or manager. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Support will be technology-related architecture guidance delivered in the form of PowerPoint briefings, email, or white papers addressing information security architecture vulnerabilities, risks, mitigation response, and emerging opportunities. Support will also be technology related administration of the tool stack, to include Tenable Nessus, HCL BigFix, SailPoint, Okta, Axonius, Cloudflare and any other tools to support.

The Project Delivery Talent Model is designed for professionals with specialized skills that align to a current client need. Team members focus on delivering services to clients, without additional expectations related to business development or promotion. Their employment is tied to their role on a project, and they are eligible for a benefits package that is competitive for project delivery-focused professionals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 7+ year of professional experience OR 5+ years of professional experience with a Masters degree.
  • Active Top Secret clearance required
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or any time in the future.
  • Ability to travel 25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
  • Local to Rosslyn, Virginia area and able to come onsite.
  • Industry standard certifications
  • 5+ years of cyber security experience
  • 2+ years of experience with the following:
  • Identity Access Management using Okta
  • Information Security Engineering
  • Program Design & Development

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $97,900 to $163,100.
