Job description

We are seeking an experienced PAS-X Engineer to support a greenfield pharmaceutical manufacturing project near Raleigh, North Carolina. The successful candidate will work closely with the IT and Automation teams to deliver MES solutions across multiple workstreams.

This role will serve as the primary MES point of contact for project sub-teams operating globally, coordinating with both internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure successful system implementation and deployment.

Location & Working Arrangement

  • Onsite position near Raleigh, North Carolina

  • 5 days per week (Monday - Friday)

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in the design, configuration, programming, testing, and documentation of the PAS-X MES implementation.

  • Lead the deployment of the PAS-X system to site, ensuring successful installation and operational readiness.

  • Act as the MES subject matter expert and main point of contact for global project sub-teams.

  • Ensure timely completion and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to MES operations.

  • Maintain compliance with the site Quality Strategy and pharmaceutical regulatory requirements.

  • Provide regular status updates to project stakeholders, including progress, risks, issues, timelines, and resource costs.

  • Collaborate closely with Project Management, IT, and Automation teams to ensure project milestones and deliverables are achieved.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Automation, or a related technical field.

  • Proven experience working with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), particularly Werum PAS-X.

  • Experience with PLC and SCADA systems within manufacturing environments.

  • Experience supporting pharmaceutical environments is a non-negotiable.

  • Strong project collaboration and stakeholder communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a global project environment.
