Job description

Insight Global is hiring Data Analysts to support a Pharmacy Product Team at a large non-profit payer/provider. Responsibilities include analyzing pharmacy and claims data, developing reporting and dashboards, gathering requirements from business partners, performing data validation and quality checks, and delivering actionable insights. The top 5 day-to-day responsibilities are to:

  • Analyze pharmacy and claims data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and operational insights.

  • Partner with business users and product teams to gather requirements, understand user stories, and translate business needs into data solutions.

  • Create reports, dashboards, and visualizations using tools such as Power BI to support decision-making.

  • Use SQL and Python to extract, integrate, validate, and interpret data from multiple systems and sources.

  • Support data quality, testing, validation, and documentation efforts while working closely with analysts, engineers, product owners, and business stakeholders.

Requirements

2+ years of experience as a Data Analyst on the health insurance/PBM side, integrating and analyzing complex data sources

Strong domain expertise in pharmacy claims data, supporting areas such as:

  • Formulary Analytics

  • Medication Adherence

  • MTM/Medication Therapy Management

  • PBM/Pharmacy Benefit Management Data

  • Rebate & Drug Cost Analytics

  • Utilization Management

  • CMS/Medicare Regulatory Reporting

  • Pharmacy Trend Reporting

Expertise in SQL

Familiarity with Python

Exposure to Databricks/the cloud

Data visualization experience (Power BI or Tableau)

Strong communication and stakeholder partnership skills- Ability to work directly with business partners and explain data clearly, to tell stories with data/communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences Working Azure Databricks experience

Experience in migration from on prem to the cloud

Exposure to agile/scrum (including tools like JIRA)

Relevant certifications (Azure, Databricks, DevOps, related cloud tools, etc)

Knowledge of overall claims data, medical terminology, ICD/CPT coding systems, or healthcare operations
