Job description

The Conformity & Homologation Testing engineer is responsible for testing and supporting Stellantis vehicle regulatory range and fuel economy labels, performance testing, regulatory coastdown (CD) and CAFE/GHG reporting. We work closely with our Efficiency Synthesis Design partners of the Energy Management team within the Physical & Functional Design & Integration (PFDI) organization. The role consists of a variety of vehicle-level testing and data collection that the engineer coordinates, processes, and analyzes. In-vehicle opportunities exist, but vehicle based testing is performed by union personnel. Emission dynamometers, straight-line performance and coastdown on a straightaway and oval track testing summarizes our different testing environments. We test and evaluate current and future company vehicle programs and competitive vehicles to support regulatory, development, benchmarking and target setting activities. Individual travel is limited, with the historical location being the Toyota Arizona Proving Grounds (TAPG) during Q1. Michigan winters take the department out west or down south where weather conditions allow for on-road testing.
