Job description

The Project Manager, Program Management - SAP S/4HANA Business Transformation, supports a multi-year, enterprise SAP S/4HANA business transformation by coordinating a portfolio of initiatives across Business Owners, SAP/IT teams, and third-party partners. This role focuses on end-to-end Data management capabilities. Operating within the Transformation Management Office (TMO), this role ensures initiatives are aligned to business priorities, governed consistently, integrated across workstreams, and supported by strong business readiness and adoption planning. This role acts as a connector between strategy and execution, providing portfolio-level visibility, dependency management, and readiness coordination-without owning wave-level deployment delivery.

Essential Duties: Data Workstream Planning and Execution

  • Ensure scope, deliverables and execution plans are established, communicated and monitored across multiple data, analytics and reporting workstreams

  • Drive coordination and progress across Data workstreams
  • Identify dependencies across workstreams
  • Manage Data milestones within integrated project plan
  • Ensure JIra details and dependences are complete for each workstream
  • Monitor weekly progress with Scrum Masters and Data team leads

Business Owner & Process Owner Engagement

  • Partner with Business Owners and Enterprise Process Owners to clarify objectives, scope, success measures, and decision ownership across Data workstreams
  • Build EPO and business participation plans with Data leads. Track business participation commitments and identify capacity or engagement risks.
  • Support cross-functional alignment when priorities or dependencies conflict.

SAP / IT Coordination

  • Work closely with SAP, Data and IT teams to align priorities
  • Provide visibility into Data delivery progress, risks, and dependencies impacting business readiness.
  • Ensure integration across process, data, reporting, and technology considerations at the portfolio level including customer, pricing, billing, and financial integration points.

Third-Party / System Integrator Coordination

  • Coordinate with System Integrators and third-party partners to ensure alignment to program governance standards.
  • Track high-level partner deliverables, dependencies, and risks.
  • Support issue escalation and reinforce expectations for quality, documentation, and knowledge transfer.

Business Readiness & Adoption Support

  • Coordinate enterprise-level business readiness activities, including readiness baselining, planning, milestone tracking, and participation in design, testing, and training.
  • Partner with Data, Change, Training, and Communications leads to align readiness activities across initiatives.
  • Identify and escalate readiness risks related to timing, capacity, or adoption.

Risk, Dependency & Value Tracking

  • Maintain a portfolio-level view of risks, issues, and cross-initiative dependencies.
  • Support tracking of business benefits, KPIs, and value realization.
  • Shift reporting from task completion to business capability and outcome visibility.

Key Interfaces Business Owners; Process Owners; SAP / IT Teams; Deployment Directors; Data, Change, Training Leads; System Integrators; Transformation Program Director, Integrator and orchestrator: Connects strategy to execution across functions, SAP and third parties. Proactively risk-focused: Anticipates dependencies and readiness issues before they become delivery problems. Business-first operator: Prioritizes adaptations, readiness, and outcomes over task completion. Influence without authority: Drives alignment and progress through collaboration, clarity, and credibility. Steward of program integrity: Takes ownership of accuracy, consistency, and discipline in reporting, tracking, and governance artifacts to ensure leaders are working from a single, trusted source of truth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 8+ years project/program management experience, including 3-5 years supporting SAP ERP (ECC or S/4HANA) transformations with focus on Data management
  • Experience working with business leaders, IT teams, and system integrators
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end Data processes
  • Ability to manage cross-functional dependencies and readiness risks
