Job description

The Director of Loyalty and Rewards Technology and Digital Execution is accountable for translating loyalty and rewards business strategy into digital and technology execution, ensuring a seamless end-to-end client experience across digital channels. This role serves as the primary technology-facing leader and single point of contact for cross-functional delivery-owning the relationship with key Technology partners and external vendors (including Zafin), and driving alignment across Operations, Digital Servicing, and Technology to deliver launch-ready capabilities., Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

  1. Translate loyalty and rewards strategy, client journeys, and business needs into clear, prioritized functional and technical requirements that enable effective delivery.

  2. Serve as the primary business contact for Technology teams delivering Loyalty and Rewards capabilities, including ownership of the day-to-day relationship with Zafin.

  3. Own the end-to-end digital client experience for loyalty and rewards, ensuring experiences are intuitive, consistent, and aligned with program intent across digital channels.

  4. Partner closely with Product, Design, Engineering, Data, Operations, and Digital Servicing teams to drive aligned execution and resolve delivery dependencies.

  5. Lead delivery execution within established governance and delivery frameworks, ensuring backlogs are prioritized, teams are unblocked, and milestones are met.

  6. Drive end-to-end launch readiness for loyalty and rewards initiatives, including operational readiness, digital servicing readiness, testing validation, and go-live decisioning.

  7. Coordinate UAT, business validation, and post-launch hypercare to ensure releases meet quality standards and issues are resolved quickly.

  8. Ensure Operations, Digital Servicing, and Technology teams are aligned on process impacts, servicing workflows, controls, and escalation paths.

  9. Provide clear, concise status reporting on delivery progress, risks, issues, and decisions to business and functional leadership.

  10. Create an inclusive, engaging, and energizing team environment, aligned with the Truist Purpose, Mission and Values, that empowers teammates to learn, grow, and have meaningful careers. Execute on managerial responsibilities and strategic priorities with excellence in a timely manner creating a differentiated experience to ensure areas of focus are operationalized throughout the team at all levels.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree in business, or related field or equivalent combination of education and professional experience;

  2. Ten years of experience in digital delivery, product/technology execution, platform implementation, or technology program leadership in a complex, matrixed environment;

  3. Demonstrated ability to translate business strategy into technical requirements and coordinate delivery through cross-functional technology teams and vendors;

  4. Proven experience leading end-to-end delivery readiness, including requirements, testing/UAT coordination, release planning, launch readiness, and post-launch stabilization;

  5. Strong cross-functional leadership and communication skills; ability to align Operations, Digital Servicing, and Technology partners to a shared plan and outcomes;

  6. Strong issue/risk management discipline with experience driving timely decisions, escalation, and resolution;

  7. Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products;

  8. Ability to travel, occasionally overnight.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Financial services experience, preferably in loyalty/rewards, deposits, payments, or client engagement programs;

  2. Experience managing strategic technology vendor relationships and platform integrations (including loyalty/rewards engines);

  3. Familiarity with Agile/Scaled Agile delivery methods; experience partnering with engineering teams on backlog development and delivery execution;

  4. Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) and/or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, SAFe, Scrum).
